Subject Area: Disinformation and Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference

Aims and Objectives

This project aims to create a better picture and understanding of state and non-state actors applying information suppression and to recommend strategies, tools and methodologies to reduce the impact and the vulnerability of different target groups. Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) including information suppression can take many different forms – from censorship to the targeted dissemination of disinformation by state actors or other interest groups. Today’s intensive use of social media and online platforms, and the questionable role of algorithms, makes the issue a growing problem. RESONANT aims to tackle this problem through multidisciplinary research cooperation. URL: https://resonantproject.eu/
